Tarouty Mushrooms Company was established in 1990. It was the first company established in Egypt for the production and distribution of fresh mushrooms. The company’s mushrooms are produced at a farm owned by the company and dedicated to the production of fresh mushrooms. The farm is located in Faquis in Sharkeya governorate. The farm was constructed with the assistance of Dutch experts who assisted with the design of the growing rooms and the supply of equipment. The farm is operated by renowned mushroom-growing experts assisted by a group of local engineers who received training in Holland.
